The InfiniteFocus
Alicona offers high resolution optical 3D micro scanning solutions for complex form analysis of micro feature and micro parts. A vertical scanning resolution to 10 nanometers, with scanning speed up to 200,000 points per second, allows robust measurement of form characteristics on complex 3D organic shapes. Steep flanks up to almost vertical walls can be measured due of the unique application of focus variation technology. The InfiniteFocus has a large range of objectives to enable scan measurement across large vertical and lateral ranges, allowing the InfiniteFocus to easily be referred to as a micro scanning CMM.
Using Focus Variation technology, the InfiniteFocus is able to resolve complex 3D geometries with steep walls, diffuse reflections and very rough surfaces, and capture true color information from the sample.
Reliable and repeatable measurement is within seconds. The versatility of the InfiniteFocus allows its’ use in precision parts, tooling, micro mold making, paper and print, electronics, medical devices, and medical implant industries, just to name a few.
The operation of the InfiniteFocus is very simple. The sample part is scanned using the chosen optical objective and settings to achieve the desired resolution for the data set. The scan result is a point cloud of data, up to 100 million points. The analysis tool options are displayed directly after the scan is completed. The operator chooses the tool based on what is to be measured, such as roughness, form, contour, dimensional evaluation, volume measurement, or comparison to CAD. All of the analysis tools can be fully automated for walk up and measure in near-line and off-line applications. see more
